Elliot gained his degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Sheffield, completing a dissertation on the internal ballistics of elastomer-accelerated projectiles and completing a placement year within Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Park site.
Before joining the patent profession, he gained industry experience at an engineering consultancy, completing design, analysis and R&D projects across a wide range of engineering sectors in a client-facing role.
Elliot joined the Mechanical team at Scintilla in February 2026 as a Trainee Patent Attorney and is excited to apply his technical skills to this career path.
