Electronic Engineer Patent Attorney
We have an opening for an electronic engineer patent attorney. The main criteria for the role is having the right technical expertise so we are open to considering roles at any level of qualification, including new entrants to the profession.
Scintilla is a boutique firm dedicated to the fields of electronics and software and the vast majority of our work relates to patents in these technical areas. Our client base is diverse and stimulating, as we act for large corporations, universities and are also active in the local startup and SME community.
Patent drafting is a key aspect of our portfolio, and the role will involve regular direct contact with inventors. However, as we are a small company there is also plenty of opportunity for personal and professional development. We act as trusted advisors for our clients and especially when it comes to start-up companies, you will play a key role in developing your clients’ IP strategy and making a real difference to their businesses.
We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in semiconductors, in areas such as mixed signal systems, power conversion and power management, solid state lighting and embedded systems.
The ideal candidate would have a minimum of a degree-level education in electronic engineering, and preferably a PhD. Any industrial experience or placements will also be of interest to us.
We offer competitive pay in accordance with experience, and a working environment which is friendly, informal and benefits from a prime city centre location in Glasgow.
To apply or to obtain further information please contact Peter McBride by e-mail at email@example.com or by phone on 0141 255 0295. All inquiries will of course be treated in the strictest confidence.
